Throughout 2017 & 2018 we worked closely with CH Group as structural engineers and project managers to transform Rufus House on Castle Street, Carlisle into Global House – the new UK headquarters for Edinburgh Woollen Mill.
The previously unoccupied office space has been completely refurbished inside and out with an additional storey added to provide spectacular views across the city and nearby castle. The old, tired facade has been replaced with modern sandstone cladding while the new feature balconies ensure that the building is no longer an eyesore to the Historical Quarter of Carlisle.
Civil and structural design of foundations, basement, car parking and sustainable drainage, including water harvesting and attenuation ponds.
